How you can help

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Did you know that one in seven Americans face hunger every day – 1 in 7!!! In fact, one in four children in our nation is affected by hunger each day. In Cumberland County alone 25, 600 individuals are food insecure. Project SHARE serves 2,882 individuals per month where 30% are children, 17% seniors, 5% with military affiliation. 34% of our clients make an annual gross income of less than $12,000 a year.

Hunger isn’t just something that affects far off places like Africa – Hunger is here in America, today.  We need your help to advocate ways to end hunger in the Carlisle community – including educating your neighbors about the facts of hunger in our community, working elected officials on how they can support efforts to feed the hungry here in Carlisle, conducting local campaigns to increase awareness of hunger in our community, and more.  How can you help?
