Project SHARE bales and recycles cardboard to raise money for our mission.
When we recycle cardboard for just 6 months, we save:

    • 2,000 treesForest
    • 1,000 cubic yards of landfill space

Manufacturing this much cardboard requires:

  • 45,600 gallons of oilOil Barrels
  • 480,000 kWh of energy
  • 840,000 gallons of water

In addition to all these benefits, 29,000 lbs of CO2 is absorbed by the trees that we save.

The baled cardboard is then trucked to a local recycler where we were recently (January-June, 2017) paid $12,000 for the cardboard. This amount will cover the expenses for one month of food distribution to our community.
