The Salvation Army: Offers a variety of free meal options during the week. To learn more, click here.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program): Cash loaded onto an EBT card to help with buying groceries. Applications are completed online, using COMPASS.

His Hands Auto Repair Ministry: Affordable auto repairs. Contact Project SHARE for a referral, for additional cost savings. 717-258-5483
Gas Gift Cards: Contact The Salvation Army in Carlisle for help with gas cards. 717-249-1411
New Digs Ministry: Free household goods and furniture. You must be referred to this organization by a social services agency. Ask Project SHARE to help!
CommunityAid: Thrift store offering low cost used clothing and housewares.
GreenLife Thrift Store: A non profit thrift store where everything is priced $4.99 or below
LifeStyle by New Life Community Church: For families transitioning from homeless to a home, this ministry helps furnish new homes. A referral is needed for this service. Ask Project SHARE to help!
Community CARES: Provides emergency shelter & coordinated housing re-entry in Cumberland County. 717-249-1009
Safe Harbour: Provides a continuum of housing options for those experiencing homelessness. 717-249-2200
Cumberland County: Helps to find housing, refuge, care and self-sufficiency 717-240-5112
Samaritan Fellowship: Financial assistance available once a year, to help pay large, unmanageable bills. 717-243-7338
Project LampLight: Provide rapid financial assistance, one time a year. Apply online only.
Maranatha of Carlisle: Financial Literacy classes and money management services. 717-258-1000
Sadler Health Center: A community health center that provides primary care, dental care and behavioral health services. Payment is based on a sliding scale fee. They serve anyone, regardless of if you have insurance. 717-218-6670
Cumberland County Office of Aging & Community Services: Provide a range of services for individuals 60 years and older, including transportation, minor home repairs, protection from elder abuse, legal services & more. 717-240-6110
Todd Baird Lindsey Devlin Foundation: Provides financial assistance and help finding resources in the community for elderly individuals. 717-486-4121
Employment Skills Center: Provides education, training and workforce development classes, for free. 717-243-6040
PA CareerLink: Provides help with job searching, updating resumes, interviewing skills and career counseling. 717-243-4431
MidPenn Legal Services: Provide free legal assistance in civil cases, for those who are eligible. Services that are covered include child support, custody, bankruptcy, expungement & more. Apply online or call 717-243-9400
Merakey Stevens Center: Specializes in mental health rehabilitation, including emergency mental health services, partial hospitalization, day treatment and outpatient mental health support. 717-243-6033
In Him Christian Wellness: Counseling offered on a sliding scale fee. Apply online or call 717-585-0627
LIHEAP: Get help with paying your heating bill. A one-time payment is sent directly to your utility company. This program is available November through April.
WIC: Cash loaded onto an EBT card to help with buying groceries and health screenings for pregnant/breastfeeding women and children 5 years and younger. Apply online or call 717-243-0523
Carlisle Area Family Life Center: Helps pregnant women & mothers with diapers and formula, maternity clothing and clothing for children up to 5 years old.
Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties: Provides emergency shelter, a 24-hour hotline, counseling, Protection from Abuse Orders & more for women and children. 24 Hr Hotline Number-call or text 1-800-852-2102

COMPASS: An online tool to apply for government assistance programs, like SNAP, CHIP, MEDICAID and help paying for childcare. These resources can also be accessed via the Cumberland County Assistance Office, by calling 717-240-2700
LifeWorks by New Life Community Church: Provides a wide variety of assistance, including help furnishing homes for individuals leaving homelessness, transformational housing, opportunity to earn a bicycle and HUB day-a day in which a collection of social services agencies are onsite together to provide easy access to multiple services.
