SHARing what we know is an essential part of the SHARE philosophy. As a result we offer courses, programs, hands on participatory events that move us all to new levels in personal achievement and employment. The focus of our attention has and will continue to be our Kitchen, for it is here where we all learn to prepare the foods that we have available to the community. By SHARing techniques and insights into the healthy benefits of the selected foods and their preparation, we are able to make our lives more enjoyable, healthier and tastier!
Some of these insights and preparations can be viewed under Project SHARE’s recipes.
Each summer we operate a Lunch & Learn program for children from ages 5 to 12. These children would not have access to school lunches during school closings. Project SHARE designed a program that gave our children an opportunity for summer learning, activities, and healthy eating. In 2019 we have over 200 children registered at 5 sites with a consistent enrollment of approximately 120 to 150 kids a day. See more information on our Lunch & Learn program for 2020 by clicking here.
Groups of more than 5 are asked to contact Project SHARE about scheduling special programs that we may be able to assist with. While our main mission is to support our community of families suffering from food insecurity we will consider special group accommodations on request.
