South Middleton Youth Fill Empty Bowls

An “Empty Bowls” dinner was held in December  to raise community awareness and fight against hunger.  Below is a link from the Sentinel about the event.  Overall, the event raised $2,248.71.  The bowls are a gift for each guest to take home as a reminder of the countless empty bowls facing hungry people around the world. One-hundred percent of the donation from the bowls and dinner will benefit the Nutrition Power Pack program for children served by Project SHARE.  Many thanks to mentor and teacher Alex C. Smith and the students of IMPACT at South Middleton School District for their care and generosity.
