Darrell loves music, songwriting, audio/video production, storytelling, and working with the volunteers at Project SHARE. He spent years in the music business in New York City, Philadelphia, and Alaska. His latest instrument is the ukulele and he has written a number of songs and performed them in some of his favorite outdoor locations. At Project SHARE we see Darrell as our solutions person. If there is a mechanical or other maintenance problem Darrell is who we all seek out, sometimes to his chagrin.
A lifelong member of the area Deb graduated from Boiling Springs. Deb’s work experience has always centered around customer service. Most recently she was an owner/operator of a small business. As Warehouse Coordinator at Project SHARE Deb’s responsibilities include the ordering of food, inventory, and distribution preparation. Whether ordering food or keeping a clean warehouse Deb sees them all as part of her service to the community.
Laura is a native of Shippensburg who moved to Virginia, Florida and California when her husband was serving in the Navy. She was a high school cheerleader who travelled to Hawaii with the NFL Pro Bowl Game as part of that activity. Back in South Central PA since the summer of 2015 Laura enjoys working with and helping those in need at Project SHARE. As a mom of three she particularly relates to women and children seeking solutions. Her hobbies include crafts and making natural products with “essential oils”.
Director of Development and Major Gifts
Deb was raised in rural Franklin County and came to Project SHARE from the Girl Scouts where she was in charge of fund development in 30 Pennsylvania counties. She has spent the greatest part of her career assisting non-profits raising funds to support their missions. In her “me” time Deb likes to garden, cook and read. Her favorite book is The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. The results of her gardening end up in her soups while an occasional fish lands in her pan after a day on the “fly”.
Coordinator of Education & Community Outreach
Joe comes to Project SHARE where he taught Nurse Aides, GED, computer, life skills, served the homeless and traveled extensively in Europe. “After 911 the travel industry changed and I found my passion for teaching.” Joe enjoys his farmette with his family, dawgs (Jersey accent), cats, poultry, donkeys and good neighbors. Since his arrival he has been engaged with the new website, SHARENews, special events and enhancing education offerings at Project SHARE.
Outreach Farm Coordinator
A lifelong resident of Carlisle, Steve has been married to Crystal for 37 years. Steve’s family attends Evangelical Free Church where he serves on the mission committee. Steve’s work experience includes 18 years of owning his own business that served residents and farmers in the County. He makes sure that Farmstand continues to be stocked and ready to serve the community. He actively works with and recruits the many groups and individuals who join him on the fields and orchards to GLEAN !
Georgia born Linda came to PA as a teenager with her parents who were linked to employment at the Army War College. Linda’s career was surrounded by numbers and also relished solving problems. After marriage she continued to count with 4 children and 8 grands adding up. She led many organizations out of technological abyss into the light of computer driven efficiencies. In Cumberland County she continues her work for MHIDD and spends part of her time at Project SHARE.
First Impressions Coordinator
Wendy oversees the very busy front office as the First Impressions Coordinator. Along with her ‘office-volunteer family’, they create a friendly atmosphere for all who need assistance. Wendy and her husband enjoy spending time with their sons and their families which includes a new grandson and his 2 year old sister! They love their pit bull, ‘Brynn-Lynn Brady Quinn Murray’, look forward to traveling to Minnesota to see the grands and have fun watching Notre Dame Football!
Nutrition Education Coordinator
Weston Petroski received his B.S. in Nutrition from Appalachian State University, and an A.S. in Biology from Harrisburg Area Community College. He works with a variety of populations, from young children and at-risk youth to adults seeking to improve their health. With a strong background in food, nutrition, biology, and chemistry, Weston brings an easy-to understand, evidence-based approach to whole food medicine. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, spending time in the outdoors with his four-legged companion, and gardening.
Vivian hails from Fulton County and has been in the Carlisle area most of her life. She loves math and accounting and worked for United Telephone, now Century Link. She earned her BA in Economics as an adult student in her 40s at Wilson College. Vivian also loves to knit for others. She also serves as the treasurer of the New Digs Ministry in Mechanicsburg which helps the community with furniture and household goods. At Project SHARE Vivian started as a volunteer and now is our bookkeeper.
Meagan is a Plainfield person who loves the rural environment. Driven by a concern for people she studied and received a degree in social services from HACC and has been in service to others ever since. She is an avid outdoors person and loves camping, kayaking as well as gardening. As volunteer coordinator Meagan loves the changes, challenges and organizational tasks that she solves daily. She serves our team by linking us with the help that we need to complete our mission daily.
Born in upstate New York, Bob graduated from Dickinson College in 1980. He received his MBA from the American University in Washington, DC and promptly moved back to this area. He and his family have lived in Mechanicsburg for over 15 years. Bob’s professional career spans over 35 years in the Retail Banking industry, with his primary focus on leading teams of branch bankers and personally managing relationships with business owners and non-profit organizations. In his spare time, Bob enjoys the outdoors, working on classic cars and spending time with his wife and children.
