TIME & TALENT

How you can help

Volunteering your time, skills and talent are great ways to help.  Without enough hands, we would not be able to serve the approximately 1,000 families and 3,000+ individuals that come to us for help each month.  We need your help!  Whether you have two hours a month to four hours a day, your neighbors in need will appreciate the time you are investing in changing their lives.

We are looking for people of all skill levels too – from help with sorting, preparing and handing out food, to technical and computer assistance, there is a place for you to use your talents.  Some of the other jobs and areas we need help with are:  kitchen help, warehouse assistance including in our cooler and freezer, drivers (both Class A and B), sorting clothing, office assistance, hospitality, gleaning, working at our farm stand, serving on a committee, helping with our numerous special events, IT work, educating our recipients on proper nutrition, help with marketing, and cleaning . Take action and contact our volunteer coordinator to get involved.

WEALTH

How you can help

Just as important as the people who invest their time and talent to do the work of serving our neighbors, we need your financial support.  Whether it’s a financial contribution to our virtual food drive, conducting a physical food drive in your neighborhood or workplace, supporting our endowment to help secure our future, or bringing a business on board to sponsor the activities and programs that support our efforts – your financial support is greatly appreciated.

ADVOCATE

How you can help

Did you know that one in six Americans face hunger every day – 1 in 6!!!  In fact one in four children in our nation is affected by hunger each day.  Hunger isn’t just something that affects far off places like Africa – Hunger is here in America, today.  We need your help to advocate ways to end hunger in the Carlisle community – including educating your neighbors about the facts of hunger in our community, working elected officials on how they can support efforts to feed the hungry here in Carlisle, conducting local campaigns to increase awareness of hunger in our community, and more.  Please contact us to learn more.
