Emma is a Registered Dietitian, with a degree in Nutrition Management from Rochester Institute of Technology and completing a dietetic internship from Penn State. Working towards a Master’s in Public Health. In addition to her new responsibilities as Executive Director, she teaches Kids in the Kitchen and Slice of the Month, coordinates the SHARE Box program, implements SWAP nutrient analysis for SHARE’s inventory and runs the Summer Feeding 4 Kids Program.  Born and raised in Ireland, Emma moved to PA at age 10. Away from SHARE Emma can be found hiking, reading or sharing a meal with friends and family.

Darrell Beam

Born and raised in Carlisle, his interests led him to playing guitar, writing, and recording music. Formed “The Pikers” with the Quinn br. Opened for Warren Zevon at the Forum. His adventurous spirit, and a one-way ticket to Fairbanks Alaska landed him a job acting and singing in a musical comedy. From there to Greenwich Village  folk clubs, working at a studio, Tower Records, and eventually opening a store in Philly. Darrell worked as an audio engineer and wrote and recorded music. Interviewed the WWII Navajo Code-Talkers and took the Native Trails Dance Troupe on a tour performing across Ireland.

A lifelong member of the area Deb graduated from Boiling Springs H.S.. Deb’s work experience has always centered around customer service. After 10 years of service as the Warehouse coordinator, Deb serves as Office Manager. Deb also continues to order food and supplies, accounts-payable as well as administrative office duties.  She is a happy grandmother of seven. She enjoys a good movie (especially dramas with happy endings), spending time outdoors, and playing with her grandchildren.

Amy was born and raised in Connecticut, lived in California for seven years and moved to Pennsylvania in early 2000. She is a mother of four and grandmother of four as well. She spends much of her free time with her amazing family. She is an avid reader, gardener and cook and a special fan of Great Course, believing that education is a lifelong project. She is fascinated with birds of prey and is planning on completing her second “Hawk Walk” in the Spring. Amy has always had a passion for helping others and has volunteered at prisons, nursing homes and for two years at Project Share prior to joining our staff as a Volunteer Specialist.

Joe was in the travel industry for 30 years, running his own wholesale company.  After 9/11, he re-entered the education profession, taught GED and ESL, and started the Buck a Book campaign and Nurse Aid training classes at the Employment Skills Center. After having taught 50 classes, he moved over to Project SHARE. Loves living on a farm with his wife, though born 12 miles from NYC. They have served as international hosts for the USAWC for over 10 years.  Member of The Dirdy Birdies Jug Band where he plays washboard with his college friends from Greenwich Village days.

Lisa Maddux

Born in Ohio, Lisa graduated from Penn State in journalism then a career as a reporter in Hanover, PA.  After time in Ohio, Georgia and Wisconsin, Lisa returned in 2014.  She added a wonderful husband, Jason, and two amazing daughters. Served as the Development Director at St. Patrick School.  Family are avid golfers.  She is consistently amazed and grateful for the kind and dedicated people who make S.Central PA a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Lisa welcomes meeting new people and being part of conversations and plans to bring about positive opportunities for all.

Graduate of Jim Thorpe HS in the Poconos, he traveled worldwide as his father worked for the United Nations. Business Management major at Bloomsburg U. where he met Nicole. Lives in Dillsburg with their young sons Chase and Max.  Previously manager at CVS (15 yrs).  Enjoys watching a good streaming service,  time with friends, family, and watching his sons grow. “What attracted me to Project SHARE is what is has done for and with the community plus my desire to find meaning in service to others.” He also served as an Interim CEO together with Emma during a 2023 transitional period.

Vivian hails from Fulton County and has been in the Carlisle area most of her life. She loves math, enjoys and is proficient in accounting. Worked for United Telephone, now Century Link.  She earned her BA in Economics in her 40s at Wilson College.  Vivian loves to knit for others.  Vivian serves as the treasurer of New Digs Ministry in Mechanicsburg helping the community with furniture and household goods.  Vivian started as a SHARE Volunteer and now is Bookkeeper with the task of keeping all the staff “in-line” with on-time reporting.

Meagan Smith

Meagan is from Plainfield and loves and spends free time in rural environments that includes mountains and shorelines. An avid outdoors person she loves camping, kayaking as well as gardening. Driven by a concern for people, she studied and received a degree in social services from HACC and has been in service to others ever since. As Volunteer Coordinator, Meagan loves the changes, challenges and organizational tasks. Recently Meagan took on the challenge of a new data system to funnel all Volunteers through the new HUB.  Serving our team with the help that we need to complete our mission.

Jacob is originally from Doylestown, he has lived in Central PA for 7 years and has always had an interest in helping the community. “I’m studying economics at Shippensburg with the goal of helping people lead better lives.”  Jacob runs Farmstand where families struggling to make ends meet are served. Once a client of Project SHARE, he believes that his experience with food insecurity and the challenge of asking for help has enhanced his empathy and abilities. He enjoys relaxing with his girlfriend and their 2 cats. You can find them hiking  and playing Ultimate Frisbee with friends.

Natasha Thumma

A graduate of Boiling Springs, Natasha first interned with Project SHARE during her final year of college, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, with a concentration in addiction. She lived in Texas and Kansas, and is back at home here, in Carlisle. Natasha has a sweet daughter, and a wonderful son. She watches football and hosts football soup Sunday’s for her family. She loves hosting all holidays at her home for the entire family. Natasha is driven by helping others and giving back what she’s been given .
