Greetings,
After “watching” teens and leaders throw one thousand four hundred and forty water balloons during two games of Fort Night (Capture the Flag) at the Heberlig/Palmer Park on Saturday, our ambers are still glowing strong as we begin planning for a full year of WyldLife.
Our friends from the surrounding neighborhood will be invited to a Family Movie Night in the Heberlig/Palmer Park on Friday, August 16th at 7PM to help kick off YoungLife, WyldLife, Project SHARE’s ALPHA, Next Steps and many additional programs in our community next fall.
On Saturday, WyldLife teens enjoyed some amazing food grilled by Lee Snyder and Delroy Powell. Teens enjoyed fellowshipping and listening to tunes while waiting for the games to begin. Younger siblings that wanted desperately to join in and their families enjoyed an afternoon of food and entertainment provided by Pastor Greg Hench and the Rage teen group from the Carlisle Church of Christ. The bubble machine pumped out a river of suds while youth climbed up the humongous inflatable slide. Teen’s little siblings lined up for tractor barrel train rides. The beautiful weather set up a blessed day to spend with friends and fun was enjoyed by all.
The Water Balloon Fort Night Extravaganza was played in an arena that include ten obstacle, two swimming pools with hundreds of water balloons and two forts with 12 flags flying in the wind. A long tug of war rope separated the teams as they attempted to capture their opponent’s flags without being hit by a water balloon. Teens had an incredible time getting wet while playing two games of Fort Night with their WyldLife friends.
