Project SHARE is looking forward to CBS21’s broadcast of Super Bowl 2024.  Together we are looking to “Tackle Hunger” leading up to the game! 

 

There are some people in our community who find it difficult to put a healthy meal on the table for them and their families.  Many times, they have to choose between medical bills, heat, or other expenses and, as a result, do not get needed nutrition.

If you are looking to plan or are already scheduled to have a CBS Super Bowl party…Why not make it a CBS21 Souper Bowl of Caring gathering where you, your group, and your organization can gather physical non-perishables, or even better, go to our virtual SHARE Shop online and help “Nourish Our Community while Awakening Hope!”

IF you are putting a group team together then read on and register your plan then get on the Souper Bowl field during your CBS Super Bowl party and assist in tackling hunger for SHARE!

Get creative, and build a team to transform the lead-up to, and the Big Game on February 11th, into a SHARING event for the community served by Project SHARE of Carlisle.

SOUPERBOWL of CARING is a nationwide effort to bring deeper meaning to the day of the game. 

Churches, Youth Groups, Companies, Warehouses, Organizations and Professional Offices who are willing to help tackle hunger on our field, and at the same time take on an activity that will build a stronger team, then take a look at our play by play to examine your options.  Here are ways to help us reach the goal post.

How do you want to run your campaign?
Food donations? Cash donations? Both?

We also make it easy to run a virtual campaign for both food and cash donations.  Here are some possibilities: 

Down the field with A FUNDRAISER

Be as creative as you will.  Past events have included special plate collections in church, bake sales, auctions for employee or youth created art or food.  Perhaps a gathering of friends and families to watch the CBS21 Super Bowl that can also incorporate a Souper Bowl of Caring?  It is up to you how you want to carry the ball…bowl!

A Virtual Food Shopping

Experience at the SHARE Shop where you can shop virtually for healthy foods to help local families in need. The Virtual Food Drive does not fill orders in the traditional way. Your order, based on retail prices, is a powerful donation that allows us to leverage our deeply discounted purchasing power to source healthier foods for the food insecure families we serve.   

Individuals from your team can select SOUPER-BOWL of CARING packages or virtual food items they wish to “virtually purchase” from the various Share SHOP categories.  Your group will be added to the checkout page so that individuals can select their group/organization affiliation thereby allowing progress and final tallies to be reported to the group. 

A non-perishable Food Drive

collecting canned food and other non-perishable food packages.  Project SHARE works hard to ensure that the food it distributes is nutritious.  It is important as stewards of good health that we source and distribute a maximum of healthy foods to our clients so that they can be given the best foundation for health and success.  Provide a place where non-expired, nutritious, non-perishable food can be collected at your church, company, or other location associated with your team!  Here are some suggested items.

Other ideas

  • A SOUPER-BOWL party with an ticket price benefitting the campaign.
  • Perhaps a special auction of items (garage sale, arts and crafts, other).
  • A concert, performance or event dedicated to tackling hunger.
  • Your idea!
